János Térey’s drama The Nibelung Residential Park is a real epoch: a disaster play, a comprehensive and layered work that revives the Wagnerian tradition and tells the story of Hungary today, in the framework of a myth. The world, symbolized by a housing estate, is in trouble. A society of two capitalist families, lawyers, model women, police officers, firefighters and radio workers is on the brink of collapse.
